'Conferencing' in the world of COVID-19
The COVID-19 pandemic has imposed some unique challenges in the academic world by limiting the extent of our in-person interactions and...

We are excited to share that the Guzzo Lab was featured in an article titled:“WORLD AIDS DAY 2025: How a Toronto lab is pioneering a new method to advance our understanding of HIV.”
The article highlights our work using flow virometry, a powerful technique that allows researchers to identify and quantify human and viral proteins on the surface of individual HIV particles. This work is reshaping how scientists understand host–virus interactions by showing that host proteins on HIV can play active roles in infection, tissue targeting, and viral transmission.EPIC’s feature also recognizes our lab’s efforts to refine and standardize flow virometry, making it more reproducible, sensitive, and broadly accessible to virology researchers worldwide.
